WHO ARE WE?
We are a holistic boutique dog breeder of companion Border Collies, located in the Gold Coast hinterland on acreage property. Our family dogs and their pups are our babies. They are raised in a lovely home environment on acreage on the Gold Coast, Qld. Our breeding dogs are either living with us as our companions and as part of our family or have been placed in other beautiful loving homes within our Guardianship Program. We don’t support the breeding of dogs that are caged in overcrowded kennels. Instead, we provide lots of love, exercise, stimulation and training for our pups. We pride ourselves on breeding pups not only as family companions but also as service, therapy and emotional support dogs. We aim to share joy through helping new dog owners and therapy dog seekers find their perfect pooch. Many of our retired breeding dogs develop into companion and therapy dogs from the age of 2 years old, allowing them to explore a new and meaningful purpose.
WE BREED OUR DOGS FOR CALM TEMPERAMENT, SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT & EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
All our female breeding dogs retire early with only having had a maximum of 3 litters. They are health screened by our trusted vet and have had professional dog training. This ensures a well adjusted and obedient Companion Dog, Emotional Support Dog or a Therapy Dog before going to their new home unless they reside permanently with their original guardian carer.
In order to be conscientious for every puppy we bring into the world, as responsible breeders we need to make sure they are in loving, caring hands. We are available to provide guidance and advice on all matters or refer you to an expert that can help. We want to know if any problems or issues develop throughout the dog’s life, as that is important information that will help guide us through our breeding program. As conscientious holistic breeders we do our best to produce a healthy, well-adjusted puppy, and we are trusting that you will take care of your new family member to the best of your ability with the pups health & safety coming first.
All of our pups are not sold for breeding or showing. Happy Homes Dog Breeders retain all breeding rights for the term of the contract with our breeding dogs and request all other dogs sold to be desexed before 9 months old. Our retired breeding dogs are transferred to new owners or their original guardian families fully vet checked, desexed and professionally trained.
